Play Snake Online Free — Normal 14×14

Normal Snake online free — classic 14×14 speed. Eat food, dodge yourself, chase high scores.

This difficulty

Normal Snake is the classic mid-speed 14×14 board—the main comparison mode. Plan food routes before the board fills, and keep a drain corridor open along one edge.

About this game

Snake is the classic arcade growth game: steer a snake across a grid, eat food to grow longer, and survive as long as you can. One wrong turn into a wall or your own body ends the run. The rules are tiny, but routing space as the snake fills the board becomes a real planning puzzle. On PuzlPlay you can play Snake free online with three difficulty grids, swipe or keyboard controls, personal bests, and global high-score leaderboards—no download required.

How to Play

On desktop use arrow keys or WASD; on mobile swipe up, down, left, or right on the board (or tap the on-screen pad). The snake moves one cell each tick; you cannot reverse into yourself in one move. Eat the food orb to grow and score points. Hitting any wall or any part of your body ends the round. Pick Easy (12×12, slower), Normal (14×14), or Hard (16×16, faster) before you start. Pause anytime, then resume or start a new game from the HUD.

Tips & Strategies

Cut the board into safe lanes instead of chasing food across your own body. Leave an escape corridor when you grow into a corner. Prefer turns that keep the head near open space, not trapped against a wall. On Hard, pre-queue one turn ahead—ticks are fast. After a near miss, slow down with wider loops before going for risky food. Replay the same difficulty on PuzlPlay to beat your best score without mixing board speeds.

Leaderboards explained

Snake rankings on PuzlPlay sort by highest score within each difficulty. Longer survival and clean food routes climb higher. Filter the leaderboard by Easy, Normal, or Hard to match the grid you practice, then check Stats after each run.
